Chainsaw wielding mama! Look out! Clearing trees is a neverending chore on the new property. We start building the cabin on July 3. The dogs will arrive shortly after that. That is, after MORE CLEARING!
Starting a dog team in Alaska? You're crazy! Eight dogs on your team already... insane!
Well, that sounds cool chop-a-rooing the trees. There's really nothing I like better than hauling logs you know. That reminds me back to a time in my youth when I used to be in charge of the tree chopping crew. Really not as awesome as it sounds though since they were mainly Hyacinth bushes but you know, you've got to start the road to the top somewhere... --Bob
I quit my life as a reporter in Whitehorse to move to Fairbanks and pursue dog mushing. Sound crazy? I've been called worse. Then, I married a tall man who had a tall child. Now, I’m done writing about dog antics, and will relay stories of life as a townie with an eight-year-old and three cats. Funny how things change, eh?
