Good News for People Who Like BAD News

OK, here it is. Straight up. I don't have enough money to do the Quest 300. I'm postponing my 300-mile race until April when I'll do the Taiga 300 in Paxson. This is an extremely hard decision for me as my drop bags are done, the dogs are trained etc. But, this is life. It's hard. I didn't plan very well financially.
That's it.
Race postponed until April.

How short of cash are you?

Too much. A lot. Plus, I have already withdrawn. Good news is, drop bags are packed and ready for the next race. Bright side, right?

Aw bummer Jillian. But there's always more races, more trails, more runs with the dogs. Damned money gets in the way of everything!!!! :)

wah! I feel for you.

....and i am spending all my spare "doggie donation $$" on MY first dog sled race, in chester, CA. i learned to skijor for it - That's hard!! bum knee won't have any part of it...so i am withdrawing, and will be running my 2 pups in the 3 dog rec, with my new (used) sled... that (are you ready) used to be Rachel Scodoris'!! For those not in the know, she is a BLIND musher from OR who has coompleted the Iditarod.

I rode on the runners (4 miles) for the first time this morn...I am in musher heaven, and you are partly to blame. I hope the finances come together for you, so you can continue to inspire new mushers like myself.

Jojo, LOL! Sure, blame the rest of us mushers on your addiction!

Welcome to the club, prepare to be broke like the rest of us! And I don't even race. I don't know how some of those guys do it... hang in there! You too Jillian!
